My hospital experience, in denying them the permission to test me for covid, reaffirmed in my heart and mind, that our final testimony of faith, in the Lord and His power, might not be as glorious as we imagine or dream. It might not be on a podium before a crowd, and surely NOT on a pulpit before a congregation, but might be as sutle and almost as neglible as a mere shake of the head, in NOT denying the LORD OF LORDS.
In the hospital, I merely said a soft spoken NO, to the doctors as I lay half asleep prone on my too short hospital bed. It wasn't glorious. It was just a denial, so I reckon many of our final testimonies for the Lord might NOT be that glorious. For if that is what we are hoping for, we might be disappointed, yet to the Lord who is watching and listening, IT WILL BE GLORIOUS.
Yes for some or many, it can be a great witnessing of somebody that went all the way for Jesus. It can inspire them also to keep going for the Lord. Our departure or final choice can be dramatic and awe inspiring, but then again it might be done in a darkened dungeon, with no one or few around.
Whatever brethren, whatever happens,, be prepared and settled in your heart to remain faithful to the Lord, for HE WILL NOT FORSAKE YOU EVER. This whether in the darkness of a prison cell, or the LIGHT of a NEW DAY.
